In October 2024, the project HIRE (Enhancing Candidates Opportunities for Successful Interviews), funded by the Erasmus+ program, continues to move steadily towards its goal: improving the employability of young people, especially those in vulnerable situations. T
In October 2024, the HIRE consortium carried out a joint pilot action to test the training materials developed within the framework of the HIRE project. This initiative, implemented in each of the partner entities, allowed for the validation of a methodological approach focused on practical training in key skills for labour market integration.
A Pilot Action in Service of Shared Learning
More than 125 young people participated in the pilot programmes organised by the project partners, including representatives of the HIRE target group: adults wishing to enter the labour market, people belonging to disadvantaged groups, such as women, the long-term unemployed, etc., all with a common interest in learning the skills needed to tackle a job interview.
During the activity, participants worked on transversal skills that are highly demanded in today’s labour market, such as effective communication, self-confidence, and interview preparation. The training was structured around hands-on dynamics and resources designed to promote autonomy in job selection processes.
This pilot experience marks a milestone in the co-creation process that HIRE’s partner entities have been developing since the start of the project. The pilot not only confirmed the applicability of the content but also gathered valuable feedback from both participants and trainers to help improve and adapt the materials.
A Consortium Committed to Innovative and European Career Guidance
The HIRE consortium, composed of organisations from various European countries, works in a coordinated manner to provide innovative solutions to the challenges of youth employability. Among its main lines of action are:
- The development of training materials for both young people and career guidance professionals
- The creation of a digital tool to help users train key skills for entering the job market
- The promotion of professional resilience in increasingly changing and demanding work environments
Next Steps: Open Resources for Inclusive Employability
The lessons learned during this pilot phase are already being integrated into the improvement of the project’s training resources. This collective validation process reinforces HIRE’s collaborative approach and its aim to create useful, sustainable, and accessible tools for all of Europe.
Very soon, the materials developed will be freely available, in open access, as part of the consortium’s commitment to more effective, inclusive, and labour-market-relevant career guidance.
